Huge rise in letting agent complaints

We’ve all grown used to hearing about huge rises in property values over the last few years but we were surprised to hear recently about huge rises in the number of complaints about letting agents.

Apparently, there’s been a steep rise in the number of issues received by The Property Ombudsman and The Property Redress Scheme: complaints have increased by a whopping 35% in the last year, mostly to do with tenancy deposits.

It surprised us because a complaint is a rarity at smarthomes. And if we do ever get one, whether it’s from a tenant or from one of our landlords, we work quickly to rectify the problem immediately.
